Munnar


Munnar is a picturesque scope of the lofty Western Ghats. Located at the Idukki district of Kerala State in India. The word "Munnar" means three rivers. Munnar is the confluence of three mountain streams Madurapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Situated at 1600 meter above sea level, this hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. The endless tea plantations owned by Tata Tea Company bewitches visitors to this green paradise. Munnar is also home to Neelakurinji, an exotic flower which blooms only once in 12 years.


Kumarakom


The village of Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake, and this small water world is part of the Kuttanad region.

The bird sanctuary here, which is spread across 14 acres is a favorite haunt of migratory birds and an ornithologist's paradise. Egrets, darters, herons, teal, waterfowl, cuckoo, wild duck and migratory birds like the Siberian stork that live There in flocks are a fascination for visitors. The best way to watch the birds of the Kumarakom sanctuary is a boat trip round the islands.

An enchanting backwater destination, Kumarakom offers visitors many other leisure options like going to Alleppey or Pathiramanal which is just a short boat ride away. Boating and fishing facilities are available at Kumarakom. Holiday packages on the houseboats, traditional Kettuvalloms, are an out-of-this-world experience at Kumarakom.


Kochi


Kochi which is the commercial capital of Kerala can give you a variety of experiences which ranges from the ethnic to the cosmopolitan. Some of the major tourist attractions of Kochi are the Chinese fishing nets, Jewish Synagogue, Hill Palace and Fort Kochi Beach. A shopper's paradise, Kochi has everything from branded stuff to traditional handicraft.


Kovalam

Kovalam is a beautiful beach resort in Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala. This enchanting strip of golden sands is laced with the rich greenery of coconut palms. A former fishing village, Kovalam is just 16 km away from Thiruvanantapuram (Trivandrum), Kerala's capital city. The weather is always pleasant and it is comparatively safe or swimming. It is a dreamy place for tourists all over the world. Today Kovalam beach is known as the "Paradise of the South".


Thekkady


Thekkady Wild life Sanctuary is located in Idukki in the beautiful and picturesque state of Kerala. It's about 160 miles from Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) and is near the Kerala- Tamil Nadu border. It lies on the Western Ghats and is aprroximately 4000-5000 ft above sea-level.  Thekkady is famous for the exotic flora and fauna that can be seen here.

One can see deers, monkeys, tigers, herds of elephants and other exotic flora and fauna here. A boat ride in the lake surrounding the sanctuary gives one an opportunity to see the animals. This lake is unique in the sense it is manmade and one can see partially submerged tree-trunks in the lake. For the more adventurous, trekking into the jungle would be an exciting thing to do
